How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

There are three easy methods to measure your ring size accurately from home:

Method 1: String or Paper Strip

1. Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
2. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you want to measure.
3. Mark where the paper or string overlaps.
4. Measure the length in millimetres — this is your finger's circumference.
5. Use the chart above to find your ring size.

Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring

1. Take a ring that already fits the intended finger well.
2. Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in millimetres.
3. Match the diameter to the chart above to find your size.

Method 3: Printable Ring Sizer

Download and print our ring sizer guide (ensure you print at 100% scale, not "fit to page"). Place your existing ring over the circles to find the closest match.

Pro Tips for an Accurate Measurement

• Measure at the end of the day — fingers tend to be slightly larger in the evening due to natural swelling.
• Avoid measuring when cold — cold temperatures cause fingers to shrink, leading to an inaccurate size.
• Measure 2–3 times — take multiple measurements and use the average for best accuracy.
• Consider the knuckle — if your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, size up and use a ring adjuster if needed.
• Wide bands fit tighter — if you're choosing a wide band (6mm+), consider going half a size up for comfort.
